Leiria by night
Last Friday I went for the first
time to Leiria’s castle. The fact that I live here for more than a year and had
never been there makes the whole thing a bit embarrassing! I mean, in the end
it’s not so strange: when we visit a place we try to get to know everything at
once but once you live there you always think there will be lots of
opportunities to visit the touring sites, right? ;)
Back at the castle, I went there
to watch a concert by the wonderful JP Simões. One hundred and fifty seats, one
guitar, one voice: delightful! Such a small country – such great music...
While I was there I took the opportunity
to take some photos of the city, that looks great from up there.

Sexta feira passada fui, pela primeira vez, ao
castelo de Leiria. É uma vergonha, pois já cá vivo há cerca de um ano e meio e
só agora lá fui! Quer dizer, acho que acaba por não ser assim tão anormal:
quando vamos de visita a determinado sítio queremos conhecer tudo mas, quando
vivemos no local pensamos que não nos faltarão oportunidades para ir aos pontos
turísticos, não é? ;)
Voltando à visita ao castelo, fui lá para ver o
concerto do maravilhoso JP Simões. Um concerto para apenas 150 pessoas que, de
resto, superou as minhas expetativas: um mimo! Faz-se tão boa música no nosso
país...
Enquanto lá estive aproveitei para tirar umas
fotos sobre a cidade, que fica linda vista dali.

Burberry Prorsum Resort 2014
While the next season of fashion shows does not
start, several brands launch their commercial rows, with Resort collections.
From the ones I’ve seen this is one that I’ve liked the most. Christopher Bailey, the british maison chief creative officer, imagined clean and sexy looks defined by straight lines, where the use of lace and skirts that go beneath the knee stand out.
With sober colours, this is a very lady-like collection. Too beautiful!

Enquanto não começa a próxima temporada de
desfiles internacionais, diversas marcas aproveitam para lançar as suas linhas
mais comerciais, com coleções Resort.
Das várias que tenho visto, esta é uma das que mais gostei até ao momento. Christopher Bailey, diretor criativo da maison britânica, imaginou looks cleans e sensuais definidos por linhas retas, onde se destaca o uso de rendas e saias que vão até abaixo do joelho.
De cores sóbrias, esta é uma coleção muito lady-like. Giríssima!

It’s a popular market!
On Sunday I went with my
boyfriend to Feira de Maio, that happened here em Leiria (obviously, like
portuguese that we are, we left the visit to the last day!).
Loved it, loved it, loved it!
This kind of market, with it's
little tents (if we still can call them like that since they are too modern),
the fritters, the carousels, the music – with a questionable quality – mixed
with the typical murmur, the cotton candy, all of that makes me feel mesmerized
and like a 10 year old child again. So good...
P.S.: Sorry for my messy hair but
the wind was impossible!

que aconteceu aqui em Leiria (é óbvio que, como bons portugueses, deixamos a
visita para o último dia!).
Adorei, adorei, adorei!
Este tipo de feiras, com as suas barraquinhas (se é que ainda podemos chamá-las assim, já que estão demasiado modernas), as farturas, os carrosséis, a música – de qualidade muito duvidosa – misturada com o seu burburinho típico, o algodão doce, tudo isso exerce um fascínio enorme em mim, e volto a sentir-me com 10 anos outra vez. Tão bom...
P.S.: Desculpem-me o cabelo despenteado mas o vento não lhe deu tréguas!

I suppose that the designer imagined this
collection thinking of the lazy ones (guilty!), and in a way to make them practice sports.
Ok Stellita, mission accomplished!
The
collection is so, oh so beautiful that you just want to run and wear everything!
